Environmentally friendly dry-type transformers have advantages such as environmental friendliness, high safety, flexible installation, good reliability, energy saving, and low noise.
Environmentally friendly dry-type transformers have advantages such as environmental friendliness, high safety, flexible installation, good reliability, energy saving, and low noise. However, they also have disadvantages such as high cost, weak resistance to harsh environments, and difficult maintenance. The following is a detailed analysis of them:
Advantages
Environmentally Friendly and Pollution-Free: Environmentally friendly dry-type transformers do not use insulating oil as a cooling and insulating medium, thus eliminating the risk of oil pollution and being environmentally friendly. Additionally, they require no special maintenance, further reducing their impact on the environment.
High Safety: By not utilizing flammable insulating oil, environmentally friendly dry-type transformers reduce the risk of fire, making them particularly suitable for use in densely populated areas or locations with special safety requirements. Furthermore, they possess excellent electrical insulation properties, effectively preventing occurrences such as electric leakage and short circuits.
Flexible Installation: Environmentally friendly dry-type transformers are compact and lightweight, offering cost-effective installation that does not require a special foundation. They can be installed near the load center, greatly enhancing installation flexibility.
High Reliability: Environmentally friendly dry-type transformers adopt advanced manufacturing processes and materials, resulting in a long service life and high reliability. Under normal operating conditions, their failure rate is low, ensuring the stable operation of the power system.
Energy-Efficient and Low-Noise: During the design and manufacturing process, environmentally friendly dry-type transformers focus on improving energy efficiency and reducing losses. Through measures such as optimizing coil structures, using high-efficiency insulating materials, and employing advanced manufacturing processes, they maintain low energy consumption and high efficiency during operation. Meanwhile, they generate less noise during operation, effectively reducing the impact on the surrounding environment and personnel.
Disadvantages
High Cost: Compared to oil-immersed transformers, the manufacturing cost of environmentally friendly dry-type transformers is higher, which to some extent limits their application in some low-cost projects.
Weak Resistance to Harsh Environments: Environmentally friendly dry-type transformers are generally only suitable for indoor installation and have relatively poor resistance to harsh environments. For example, their adaptability to extreme conditions such as high humidity and high temperatures is limited.
Difficult Maintenance: Although environmentally friendly dry-type transformers require no special maintenance during normal operation, once a fault occurs, such as coil breakage, the difficulty and cost of repair and replacement are relatively high.
The main products include oil immersed transformers, dry-type transformers, power transformers, amorphous alloy transformers, mining transformers, box type substations, high and low voltage switchgear and supporting products
